            Councilmember David Grosso announces the scheduling of a public roundtable of the Committee on Education on PR22-0658 - Public Charter School Board Enrique Cruz Confirmation Resolution of 2017 and PR22-0693 - Board of Library Trustees Leif Dormsjo Confirmation Resolution of 2017. The roundtable will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in Hearing Room 123 of the John A. Wilson Building. 

            The stated purpose of PR22-0658 is to confirm the reappointment of Enrique Cruz as a member of the Public Charter School Board in accordance with section 2 of the Confirmation Act of 1978, effective March 3, 1979 (D.C. Law 2-142; D.C. Official Code § 1-523.01), and pursuant to section 2214 of the District of Columbia School Reform Act of 1995, approved April 26, 1996 (110 Stat. 1321; D.C. Official Code § 38-1802.14).

            The stated purpose of PR22-693 is to confirm the appointment of Leif Dormsjo as a member of the Board of Library Trustees in accordance with section 2 of the Confirmation Act of 1978, effective March 3, 1979 (D.C. Law 2-142; D.C. Official Code § 1-523.01), and pursuant to section 4 of an Act To establish and provide for the maintenance of a free public library and reading room in the District of Columbia, approved June 3, 1896 (29 Stat. 244; D.C. Official Code § 39-104)

Persons wishing to testify are encouraged, but not required, to submit 10 copies of written testimony.  Witnesses appearing on his or her own behalf should limit their testimony to three minutes; witnesses representing organizations should limit their testimony to five minutes. 

            If you are unable to testify at the hearing, written statements are encouraged and will be made a part of the official record.  Written statements should be submitted by email to Ashley Strange, astrange@dccouncil.us, or by post to the Committee on Education, Council of the District of Columbia, Suite 116 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20004. The record will close at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.
