Councilmember David Grosso announces the scheduling of a public roundtable of the Committee on Education on PR22-0929, the “Board of Library Trustees Monte Monash Confirmation Resolution of 2018”. The roundtable will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018, in Hearing Room 120 of the John A. Wilson Building.
The stated purpose of PR22-0929 is to confirm the appointment of Monte Monash as a public member of the Board of Library Trustees in accordance with section 2 of the Confirmation Act of 1978, effective March 3, 1979 (D.C. Law 2-142; D.C. Official Code § 1-523.01), and pursuant to section 4 of an Act To establish and provide for the maintenance of a free public library and reading room in the District of Columbia, approved June 3, 1896 (29 Stat. 244; D.C. Official Code § 39-104).
Those who wish to testify may sign-up online at http://bit.do/educationhearings or call the Committee on Education at (202) 724-8061 by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Persons wishing to testify are encouraged, but not required, to submit 15 copies of written testimony. Witnesses appearing on his or her own behalf should limit their testimony to three minutes; witnesses representing organizations should limit their testimony to five minutes.
