ANNOUNCE A JOINT PERFORMANCE OVERSIGHT HEARING

on the

Deputy Mayor for Education

and

District of Columbia Public Charter School Board

Chairman Phil Mendelson and Councilmember David Grosso announce the scheduling of the Performance Oversight Hearing on the Deputy Mayor for education and District of Columbia Public Charter School Board. The hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in Hearing Room 412 of the John A. Wilson Building. 

The Committee invites the public to testify or submit written testimony. Those who wish to testify may sign-up online at http://bit.do/educationhearings or call the Committee on Education at (202) 724-8061 by 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2020. Persons wishing to testify are encouraged to bring 10-15 copies of their written testimony. 

If you are unable to testify at the hearing, written statements are encouraged and will be made a part of the official record.  Written statements should be submitted by email to Ashley Strange, Committee Assistant, at astrange@dccouncil.us, or by post to the Committee on Education, Council of the District of Columbia, Suite 116 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20004. The record will close two business days following the conclusion of each respective hearing. Persons submitting written statements for the record should observe this deadline.

PLEASE NOTE: Witnesses who anticipate needing spoken language interpretation, or require sign language interpretation, are requested to inform [Committee] office of the need as soon as possible but no later than five (5) business days before the proceeding. We will make every effort to fulfill timely requests, however requests received in less than five (5) business days may not be fulfilled and alternatives may be offered.
